As part of the ongoing REUNIR research initiative, our experts have been conducting interviews and focus groups across the Balkans, engaging policymakers, civil society representatives, and local stakeholders to gather crucial perspectives on the region’s key dynamics.
Last week, REUNIR successfully completed the first phase of its Balkan field trip, conducting in-depth interviews and focus groups with experts and additional ones with members of the general audience in Tirana, Podgorica, and Sarajevo. The high level of engagement and meaningful exchanges reinforced the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping our research findings.
Among the many productive meetings, our experts had the opportunity to exchange views with:
- Megi Fino, Deputy Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania
- Biljana Papović, State Secretary at the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro
- Mirsad Jašarspahić, President of the Federation of BiH Chamber of Commerce
These discussions are crucial in shaping our research, providing deeper insights into the region’s challenges, dynamics, and opportunities.
The next stops for the REUNIR research team are Pristina, Skopje and Belgrade. Our experts will continue conducting interviews and focus groups, further enriching our understanding of domestic and regional developments against the backdrop of a great global reordering.
Stay tuned for more updates as our journey through the Balkans continues!
