The REUNIR Project was proud to participate in the 9th edition of the #EUIA25, held in May 2025 in Brussels. Under the theme “Europe in a Fragmenting World,” the conference brought together leading scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to explore the evolving role of the EU in a rapidly changing global landscape.
As part of a dynamic and interdisciplinary programme, the REUNIR Project contributed to critical discussions on the EU’s geopolitical positioning, external relations, and the normative versus transactional dimensions of its international engagement. Our presence underscored REUNIR’s commitment to bridging academic research and policy dialogue on the future of European cooperation and global governance.
#EUIA25, jointly organised by the Brussels School of Governance at VUB, UNU-CRIS, IEE-ULB, Egmont Institute, and the University of Warwick, served as a vital platform to exchange ideas and build networks across disciplines and institutions.
We thank the organisers for facilitating such a timely and forward-looking conversation, and we look forward to continuing the dialogue on Europe’s place in an increasingly fragmented world.
