REUNIR Mid-term Conference in Belgrade – Mihai Mogildea, IPRE

As part of the REUNIR Project’s ongoing expert insights series, we’re pleased to share a new video featuring Mihai Mogildea, Deputy Director of the Institute for European Policies and Reforms (IPRE – Institutul pentru Politici și Reforme Europene), a leading think tank based in Chișinău, Moldova.

In the video, Mihai reflects on Moldova’s path toward EU accession and the external threats that could shape that journey. He discusses the persistent influence of foreign state actors, the internal vulnerabilities they exploit, such as institutional fragility and disinformation, and the importance of maintaining political will and societal consensus around the European project.

As Moldova moves forward in its EU bid, understanding and mitigating these risks is essential to strengthening democratic resilience and ensuring long-term alignment with European values and standards.
