The REUNIR Project is pleased to announce the successful conclusion of the Belgrade Security Conference (BSC) 2025, organised by our partners at the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP). Held from 17 to 19 November at the Sava Center in Belgrade, this year’s conference once again confirmed its role as a leading regional platform for open dialogue, democratic resilience, and strategic cooperation.
The three-day event brought together high-level policymakers, diplomats, scholars, journalists, and civil society representatives from across Europe and beyond. Participants engaged in substantive debates on the most pressing issues shaping today’s security landscape, including democratic renewal in Serbia, the evolving transatlantic partnership, global power competition, and the future of the European Union’s enlargement process.
Throughout the conference, discussions highlighted the growing need for coordinated action, evidence-based policymaking, and greater societal resilience in the face of geopolitical uncertainty and hybrid threats. The REUNIR Project welcomed the opportunity to contribute to these conversations and to strengthen cooperation with partners committed to advancing democratic values and regional stability.
This year’s edition of the Belgrade Security Conference was dedicated to Ksenija Atanasijević (1894–1981), a pioneering Serbian philosopher and the first female professor at the University of Belgrade, whose legacy underscores the importance of intellectual courage and inclusion in public life.
The REUNIR Project commends BCSP for the successful organisation of the event and expresses appreciation to all speakers and participants whose insights made the conference a significant milestone in the regional policy dialogue.
