This discussion couldn’t be more timely, given the current political climate marked by concerning reports of violence against civic activists and opposition leaders. Against the backdrop of ongoing protests, we addressed crucial issues surrounding the government’s attempt to adopt a law on ‘foreign influence.’

It is a very critical time for Georgia and if the law is adopted, the EU should halt funds for the executive, channel support to CSOs that are at risk of being silenced & threaten sanctions against autocratic forces to prevent Georgia from turning away from the EU path.
