On 29 August 2025, REUNIR took part in the 18th EISA Pan-European Conference on International Relations (PEC 2025) at the University of Bologna.
Themed “Politics for a Broken World”, the conference brought together international scholars and practitioners to debate how politics can respond to global crises.
REUNIR hosted a panel on “Future-proofing EU Policy Action to Support Candidate Countries Facing Malign Foreign Interference”. Chaired by Steven Blockmans (CEPS) with discussant Pernille Rieker (NUPI), the panel featured contributions from Tamar Gamkrelidze (College of Europe in Natolin), Steven Blockmans (CEPS), and Louise Amoris (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle) with co-authors Isabell Burmester and Laure Delcour.
The discussions highlighted pressing challenges to EU enlargement and the resilience of candidate countries, reinforcing REUNIR’s mission to foster knowledge exchange and policy dialogue.
