We asked Enrica Chiozza, Deputy Head of the Regional Strategy and Investments Unit at the European Commission, how our research can support EU policy making at a critical moment – as the Commission designs its new Multiannual Financial Framework and the “Global Europe” instrument that will underpin enlargement support. In this short interview, she explains how REUNIR’s insights into the economic, democratic, and geopolitical challenges facing the Western Balkans can feed into more effective, evidence-based, result-oriented EU policy.
